the mock up

Rebecca (Oregon, United States) on 7 March 2015 in Lifestyle & Culture.

There is a museum workshop in Albany where craftsmen and women are restoring a 1909 carousel. The animals are being recreated from blocks of wood, a process taking many months for each animal. The restoration is a work in progress and a labor that will take several more years to complete. When finished it will be housed in a building especially built for the purpose and will have over 50 animals.

Thanks for visiting. We've all got precious little time these days it seems, I'm happy that you've spent some of yours with my photos. Leave a comment or suggestion if you've a mind to, they are appreciated.
