November 7th I was on a group tour of the Blue Heron Paper Mill in Oregon City on the Willamette River. It is now a reclamation project. Developers have a vision of turning the 23 acres into business, housing, and a river walk. Because of the size of the project, and the demolition and clean up this will take many years. Surprisingly because of the types of industry that have historically been on this site-flour, woolen, and paper mills on a basalt and concrete base-it isn't considered a superfund site. There is clean-up but nothing compared to what it might have been with other industries present.

Thanks for visiting. We've all got precious little time these days it seems, I'm happy that you've spent some of yours with my photos. Leave a comment or suggestion if you've a mind to, they are appreciated.
